Going over to the dark side, Helena Bonham Carter will play one of Lord Voldemort's Death Eaters in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

Warner Bros. Pictures is aiming to release the fifth installment in the lucrative film franchise next summer.

Bonham Carter has been cast in the role of Bellatrix Lestrange, one of the more sinister characters created by Brit author J.K. Rowling for her book series.

Bonham Carter will next be seen in Working Title Film's "Sixty Six," to be released in the U.K. this fall.

Actress is one of several newcomers to the "Harry Potter" franchise. Among the others are Imelda Staunton, who stars as Dolores Umbridge, and George Harris, who plays Kingsley Shacklebolt.

Newest "Potter" pic is to be directed David Yates. Project reunites Yates with composer Nicholas Hooper, whom Warners has hired to create the score. Duo has worked together on numerous TV and film projects, including "The Girl in the Cafe" and "State of Play."

David Heyman and David Barron are producing "Order of the Phoenix"; Michael Goldenberg penned the screenplay adaptation.

Sounds good to me.
