The Eisner Award Winners

Grey from Comics Nexus just published the list of winners.

I love that Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman won the best continuing series. I truly love the book and hope that everyone reading this will check it out (all three of you). Hopefully they utilized the opportunity to promote the coming cable television show.

I am dying to read the winner of best limited series, The Wizard of Oz by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young but I haven't seen it around and I'm resisting the urge to just download it. They also won best publication for kids.

Comics has to come up with a better system of promoting the best works. I'd love to read all of this stuff but I have never seen it. I hate to blame comic shops for it (how can they sell what no one knows about in any significant number) but the solution may be to go with one of the online sites.

Buy Comics, if you download them and share them, go to your local shops and at least buy the collections and toys from your local retailer. If you don't we may see comics as we know them go away.
